Owner Zach Monks said the landlord did not renew the lease, so they decided on a bigger location. They have a lot of work to do to get the new space ready including new flooring and electrical, new clothing fixtures, signage with a new logo, and new cash and wrap centers. “It will be a brand-new store. Nothing from the old store is coming over here.”

The move is bitter-sweet for Monks. “That store will always hold a special place in my heart,” he said. “I hope everybody comes and sees us at our new location.”

The full-family sneaker shop offers Nike, Jordan, Adidas, Timberland, and more. Shoe sizes range from toddler to adult, and several street wear brands of apparel are offered including sports apparel, jerseys, and more.

Sole St. Shoes will start the move from 716 16th St. in late April. They hope to open at the new location at 500 16th St., Unit 10 in early May.
