Renderings for the incoming project describe a 278-square-foot patio with a single exit, 5 tables, and 22 seats. The permit also shows a separately-filed incoming patio for the adjacent establishment, Sweet Cooie’s Ice Cream and Confectionery.
While The French Press will incur no other changes, the forthcoming patio will ostensibly elevate the eatery’s capacity and dynamic, especially accommodating those aiming for more than a mere grab-and-go experience. Despite making space for more customers, The French Press’ parking will remain the same.
The French Press is owned by Cisco and Bobbi Lopez, who have three other locations in Colorado: Lakewood, Greenwood Village, and Aurora. While the team has worked hard to maintain coffee’s prominence and importance in their operation, The French Press is also a restaurant boasting some of the best cinnamon rolls in Colorado and an expansive menu including chicken fried steak and huevos rancheros.
It’s unclear when the project will be completed. What Now Denver reached out to Bobbi Lopez for comment but did not receive an immediate response.
