Denver residents will no longer need to make a trek to one of Beau Jo’s six locations spread throughout the metro area just to satisfy their pizza and honey crust fix. News broke last week that the brand is returning to the Mile High City with a new location at 2100 S. University Blvd.

Director of Marketing Codi Bair told What Now Denver the company is waiting on permit approval and hopes to be done with construction in the late summer or early fall.

“It will be an order at the counter model, with full service at the bar. We will also have to-go and delivery. There are quite a few tables to sit at. It is located right across the street from DU,” said Bair.

The property is located in a ground-floor tenant space of the One Observatory Park apartment building, directly east of the University of Denver, which serves over 11,000 students.

There was previously a Denver Beau Jo’s on Colorado Blvd. but that spot closed six years ago. The chain’s other restaurants are in Arvada, Evergreen, Fort Collins, Lone Tree, Steamboat Springs, and Idaho Springs — which is the original location.
