“We can have an immersive situation where people can come in and feel like they’re in that old, fantasy tavern,” Thane’s Table owner Jillian Bhargava told What Now Denver. She wants guests to live the experience.

They are waiting on permitting and then renovations will be necessary to convert the former retail space into the gaming tavern. Bhargava plans to paint murals and add floor to ceiling décor.

“This is definitely our baby. It’s something my husband and I are putting a lot of work, blood, and sweat into to get up and running.”

Thane’s Table will include a faux fireplace lounge with a PS5, as well as regular gaming tables with tabletop games.

Two VIP rooms that are fully immersive will include larger tables with built-in monitors, and the gaming master will have access to a tablet to control the room’s music, lighting, and table monitor. The gaming can also be streamed live from the VIP rooms.

The main game focus at Thane’s Table is Dungeons & Dragons. “That is one that I have grown up playing,” Bhargava shared. Other games include Warhammer, Pathfinder, Magic the Gathering, and Mansions of Madness. Guests can rent the table and VIP rooms per person, per hour.

The food menu includes flatbreads. “We have a build-your-own character flatbread, where you can take some dice and leave that up to chance if you would like to,” Bhargava explained. Guests can also pick from preselected, themed menu items.

Thane’s Table will offer a full bar with beer, wine, shots, and specialty cocktails. Some examples are Buttery Beer with butterscotch schnapps, cream soda, and whip shots cream, as well as the Thunderbolt Elixir with Midori, basil, Sprite, and Crème de Violette.

Bhargava plans to work with local vendors to sell merchandise, as well as a 3D printing company for guests to order a 3D print of their characters.

“I do believe one of the most friendly and inclusive communities out there is the gaming community, so we are pretty excited to open those doors and see everybody on a daily basis.” If all goes according to plan, Thane’s Table could open in late summer.
