The new restaurant is locally owned and operated by Kerry and Lori Dunn, a husband-and-wife team who are poised to take the Daddy’s Chicken Shack brand to the next level. Conveniently situated at 7 Spectrum Loop, this restaurant will mark the first of the Dunn’s locations to open under their regional development agreement, which detailed 20 units coming to Colorado.

The Dunn’s bring a wide array of real estate experience to the table, ranging from residential sales, commercial space management, appraisal and property flipping. Each facet of their career experience has made the pair uniquely fit to handle all stages of the development process, all the way from site selection to daily operations.

Joining the Dunn’s in this latest venture is General Manager Dennis (DJ) Valdez. Valdez brings a decorated background in the restaurant industry, with 24 years of experience in management under his belt. Valdez cites not only the amazing food as a key differentiator but Lori and Kerry’s long-term vision of growth as well. Valdez will be integral in overseeing the Colorado Springs locations’ day-to-day operations.

“We’re thrilled to officially open the doors to our first-ever Daddy’s location in Colorado Springs,” said Kerry Dunn in a statement. “We were initially drawn to Daddy’s for its incredible menu and stacked leadership team, but we’ve truly fallen in love with the brand as we’ve gotten further in this process. I know this opening is going to be welcomed with open arms by the community, and we’re excited to finally become a go-to chicken spot for every guest who stops by.”

The official grand opening celebrations of Daddy’s Chicken Shack will be the weekend of March 15th, beginning with a ribbon cutting with city officials and leading into a week of fun for all ages. Special promotions will include a reusable Daddy’s Chicken Shack cup, branded merch, coupons and stickers while supplies last. Saturday the 16th will also include a fundraiser in support of The Classical Academy’s Titan Club.

“It’s a fantastic feeling to see more and more of our Daddy’s Chicken Shack locations open,” said Dave Liniger Jr., President of Daddy’s Chicken Shack. “This marks our second location to open in Colorado in just under a year, and given how successful the first one has been, we have every confidence that this will be a great addition to the Colorado Springs community. We’re excited to not only bring new jobs and economic growth to the neighborhood but truly become a staple spot with residents for years to come.”

Daddy’s Chicken Shack menu includes fried chicken sandwiches to loaded fries and sweet-as-pie dessert options. With flavor profiles inspired by Southern charm and chef-driven expertise, the brand continues to capture the attention of entrepreneurs and consumers alike for its continued growth, community-first mindset and commitment to providing each neighborhood with good chicken and better livin’.
