The Gazette reported that the bar is owned by Michele Garrett and Rob Templin, who have both decided to have a sober lifestyle. They want to create a place where people who do not drink can still have the lounge experience.

Garrett and Templin signed a lease for the property in July. Located inside The Sluice, Gratitude will occupy a 1,400-square-foot shell at the facility. The venue also hosts a coffee shop, office/meeting space, and art gallery.

The theme of the bar will be “art-deco meets nature”, it was reported. It will have ornate glassware and partner with food trucks that will park outside to cater to hungry patrons. Its mocktails will be exotic creations, using ingredients like cayenne pepper, blue lotus flower, rosemary, ginger, kava, and more.
