Gerstner told What Now Denver the forthcoming Freddy’s (7578 Silicon Heights Colorado Springs CO 80921) is currently being developed while the incoming Rock N’ Roll Sushi location (7875 Silicon Heights Colorado Springs CO 80921) will be Colorado’s first.
“There are plenty of options out there to franchise, with chicken, burgers, and pizza. But there really hasn’t been something leading in sushi and Asian-inspired fare,” explained Gerstner for the Franchise Times. “That’s what I really liked, a market leader with a great opportunity to Americanize sushi and make it extremely approachable.”
Husband-and-wife entrepreneurs Lance and Gerri Mach Hallmark started Rock N’ Roll Sushi in Alabama in 2010. The concept appropriately showcases a musical theme that’s immediately apparent in each of its stores. The menus adorn album covers while the TVs play rock music videos throughout the day. Not only does the atmosphere promote fun, it also facilitates approachability — a sushi-restaurant element CEO Chris Kramolis seconds is becoming increasingly essential.
Freddy’s, on the other hand, was co-founded in 2002 by brothers Bill and Randy Simon with their friend and business partner, Scott Redler. It was named in honor of Bill and Randy’s father, Freddy Simon, a decorated war hero, loving parent, and hardworking hospitality-industry devotee. Today, the franchise serves up delicious diner classics like burgers, fries, melts, and, of course, frozen custard.
The Sand Hill Retail Center will house a multitude of other restaurants and retailers including Starbucks, Subway, King Soopers Marketplace, and Quick Quack Car Wash.
