Sexy Sammies is growing in Greeley. The chicken sandwich and tender restaurant is planning a second location at Apartments at Maddie near the University of Northern Colorado campus. The new spot is expected to open at 1540 8th Ave. in Greeley sometime in late fall of 2022.
“We’re fortunate enough that the community supported it, and we found some success with this concept,” said Brian Seifried, who is the president of Centennial Hospitality Group, the parent company behind Sexy Sammies, Wing Shack, and Luna’s Tacos & Tequila.
Centennial Hospitality Group has been doing business in northern Colorado since 2004 with the opening of Wing Shack, which now has nine units. They decided to create a different concept to use another part of the bird—the tender—and Sexy Sammies was born.
The first Sexy Sammies opened at 4318 W. 9th St. in Greeley in February of 2021, and Seifried hopes to continue to grow the brand. “We live, work, and play in northern Colorado, and we like doing business in northern Colorado, so we have our eyes set on some other northern Colorado communities here first.”
Sexy Sammies offers classic hand-breaded chicken tenders and chicken sandwiches made from all-natural chicken provided by Smart Chicken. The chickens are vegetarian-fed and contain no antibiotics. “We start off with a really quality piece of chicken, which we take a lot of pride in.”
One of Seifried’s favorite menu items is the Sexy Sam, which features chicken, house-made slaw, jalapeno, pickled onion, and sexy sauce. Sexy Sammies also serves Nashville hot chicken tenders. “We’re going to have beer and cocktails along with the chicken.”
The ordering system is guest-driven, so diners can order at a kiosk and grab food from a cubby system. “It’s a modern look of a quick service and how you can get freshly-made, natural food,” Seifried told What Now Denver.
The new Greeley location will offer indoor seating. “It’s designed to be a warm and inviting place to hang out.”
