Milwaukee-based brewery MobCraft Beer is launching a new concept with Dee Tacko in the Curtis Park space that formerly held Liberati Brewery. MobCraft is expanding into Denver thanks to a crowdfunding venture that gives patrons a chance to invest in the business.
MobCraft Beer president, Henry Schwartz from Lakewood, and his cousin, Justin Weber of Highlands Ranch, are partnering with Dee Tacko to add Mexican dishes to the menu. “It’s a homecoming for me,” Schwartz said. “Obviously being in beer mecca is pretty awesome.”
The Pueblo-based Dee Tacko offers a variety of tacos, including the Fungus Amongus that features grilled Portobello mushrooms, as well as burritos, specialty dishes, and quesos.
They hope to offer beer and taco flights and want to build a robust, high-end tequila and cocktail program. A beergarita combining frescas from Dee Tacko and MobCraft’s sour ale served with a shot of tequila will be offered seasonally.
The remodeled taproom dubbed MobCraft Dee Tacko plans to brew new recipes at the Denver location including crowdsourced winning beers, along with a variety of IPAs, barrel-aged stouts, hard cider, wine, and more. They also plan to collaborate with other local breweries and local artists to create beer flavors.
MobCraft Dee Tacko will feature traditional indoor dining and a separate seating area with lounge furniture and games. The space will also include a 5,000-square-foot patio with lounge and dining seating, bocce courts, and fire pits.
Renovations to the space at 2403 Champa St., Denver, CO 80205 began earlier this fall with an expected opening date at the end of this year. Schwartz said the opening date could push into 2022 depending on when permits are issued.
