Dave’s Hot Chicken offers tenders and sliders with heat levels ranging from no spice to reaper. Choices of a chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla milkshake and sodas can help quell the heat. Sides include mac and cheese, kale slaw, and fries.

The new Dave’s Hot Chicken location on E. Colfax formerly housed Pete’s Greek Town Café. According to the permitting application, the new tenant plans to remodel adding new electrical and plumbing systems, as well as exterior doors, windows, and interior finishes.

According to the Dave’s Hot Chicken website, friends Dave Kopushyan, Arman Oganesyan, Tommy Rubenyan, and Gary Rubenyan first began selling their chicken out of a stand in an East Hollywood parking lot. The concept took off, and now franchising opportunities are available across the country.

Dave’s Hot Chicken has two locations in Denver with one on South Broadway and another on Platte. There’s no word yet on when Dave’s Hot Chicken might open at 2910 E. Colfax Ave., Denver, CO 80206.
