Shake Shack announced the opening of its first Colorado drive-thru shack, set to open Friday, April 15. The Castle Rock Shack (6489 Promenade Parkway, Castle Rock, CO 80108) will be the largest Shake Shack in the state and is only the fifth Shack in the country to have a drive-thru experience. This marks Colorado’s eighth Shake Shack location and the southernmost Colorado location to date.

To celebrate, Shake Shack is hosting a grand opening bash on April 15, starting at 11:00 a.m., alongside the Castle View High School marching band. The first 100 guests will receive a Colorado Shake Shack beanies or tumbler, featuring a Rocky Mountain design. Throughout opening day, Shake Shack will be donating $1 from every sandwich sold to Dads of Castle Rock. Dads of Castle Rock helps bring the community together by fostering relationships with local businesses, hosting community projects and executing fundraising events for families and local businesses who have fallen on difficult times.

“We’ve had our eye on expanding to the family-focused, fast-growing community of Castle Rock for a long time,” said Andrew McCaughan, Chief Development Officer of Shake Shack in a statement. “Not only are we looking forward to serving the greater Denver area, we’re proud to open one of our first drive-thrus for busy families and on-the-go fans who want to get their Shake Shack fix.”

The Castle Rock Shack will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily for in-Shack dining, to-go orders and drive-thru. The Castle Rock Shack location will feature a split kitchen design with a separate kitchen for drive thru guests. Shake Shack has always been made-to-order and the Shack will continue to serve up all the classics, including the ShackBurger, crinkle-cut fries and hand-spun shakes. In order to help mitigate long lines, the Shack team will take and pay for orders at multiple points along the journey, based on demand.

In January, Shake Shack opened the Greenwood Village Shack, featuring the state’s first “drive-up” pickup window that allows guests to pick up their orders made via the Shack app and web.
