Tony P’s Downsizing to New Location

A restaurant specializing in pizzas, pastas, paninis, and more is making a move.

Tony P’s Bar and Pizzeria is moving. Tony P’s has been at its current location in Denver’s Highland neighborhood since 2007, but owner Tony Pasquini wants to move out of the larger, higher-priced space.

“We’re just looking to have a little bit of a smaller place,” Pasquini said. About 60% of the current Tony P’s business is take-out, so the new location at 3000 N. Zuni St. in Denver will address the current trend and allow Pasquini to add a wood-burning oven and European convection oven to offer European breads.

“I’m actually excited,” Pasquini told What Now Denver. “I want to be able to do everything that I want to do in a small, more manageable place.“

Construction is currently underway at the new location, and Pasquini hopes to make the move by the end of summer or September 2022. He hopes to have a seamless transition reopening in the new space and plans to keep the current location open until the move, although there may be a day or two lag time.

Tony P’s serves authentic Italian dishes including pizzas with premium toppings, raviolis, lasagna, fresh salads, sandwiches and panini, and seasonal desserts, plus a full bar. “We are a genuine, community gathering place where everyone is welcome and everyone can come and be together,” Pasquini said.

“That’s who we are. We’re just a place for everyone, and we have something to offer for everyone—a slice a pizza to a wood-fired roast chicken.”

In 1986 at the age of 21, Pasquini opened Pasquini’s Pizzeria on Broadway. The name changed to Tony P’s over the years, and the current Tony P’s has been at 2400 W. 32nd Ave. in Denver for 15 years.  

“We’ve been an iconic corner in the Highland neighborhood,” Pasquini said. He plans to sublease the location to a similar restaurant that embraces the community as Tony P’s vacates the spot for its move to Zuni St.
