“It is our firmly held belief that more queer spaces will always be needed,” Michael Anderson, co-owner of future club The Q, explained to What Now Denver. The location of The Q will be inside the Satellite Hotel, located at 411 Lakewood Cir., CBS reported. It will have a lounge atmosphere and host events like drag shows and DJ nights. There is a brand-new drink and food menu under development right now. Construction is ongoing at the space inside the hotel, but the hope is “to get the doors open as soon as possible.”

Anderson and the DJ that night, Tara Bush, both survived the event and will be co-owners of The Q. He affirmed that they want to continue the brand’s decades-old tradition of being a safe space for those seeking an accepting and inclusive spot.

“The Q will exist for the same purpose as Club Q did: a safe place for the most vulnerable among us,” he said. “We are thrilled to bring a new chapter for the community and provide a much-needed safe venue to anybody who wants it, and everybody who needs it. All are welcome at The Q!”
