Two college buddies, Freddy Bensch and Kevin McNerny started the company back in 1997 after meeting in college at the The University of Colorado. The duo learned about the beer-making process together while in college. When they first started they were washing the kegs, and now SweetWater Brewing Co. has expanded across the U.S.

The two locations in CO is going to be like a homecoming of sorts for SweetWater Brewing Co. The Fort Collins location is set to open on 1020 E Lincoln Ave, right off 9th St. It is set to be within good company with Odell Brewing Company and Back Porch Cafe nearby.

The second location will be a Sweetwater Mountain Taphouse at the Denver International Airport in case anyone wants to try some great beers before take-off.
