The Yard Milkshake Bar’s Denver store is set to open at 1600 California St, according to a commercial construction permit filed with the city and confirmed by its founder Chelsea Green.
Green confirmed with What Now Denver that the franchisees for the incoming location are Karthik Raghuram and Meenali Khare, two store owners previously reported by WND to be opening The Yard Milkshake Bar at 1001 16th St Mall, Denver, CO 80265.
As The Yard’s website doesn’t currently list any Colorado locations (open or coming soon) and the previously reported location (1001 16th St Mall) is about a three-minute drive from the more recently filed location (1600 California St), it’s likely this is the same store/exact address. More information regarding these details is forthcoming.
The Yard Milkshake Bar was created in 2017 by the husband-and-wife team Logan and Chelsea Green. After opening and operating two ice cream shops alongside her mom, Chelsea decided it was time to turn things up a notch.
She conceived of a sweet spot “like no other dessert place she had ever been to and decided that crazy specialty milkshakes [were] just what they were looking for.”
Soon, she and her entrepreneur husband were making waves in their hometown of Gulf Shores, Alabama. In 2019, the couple was featured on an episode of Shark Tank wherein their candied company won over investor Mark Cuban.
Today, The Yard has over 21 locations country-wide – and that number is soon to increase by one Colorado shop.
